Dave Butler is a registered professional forester and biologist, and is the Director of Sustainability for Canadian Mountain Holidays LP. CMH is the world’s first and largest heli-skiing and heli-hiking company with operations throughout south-central BC. His role with CMH includes government relations, community relations and land and resource management.
Dave has worked in federal and provincial governments, and for the last 20 years has been involved in adventure tourism in the private sector. He’s passionate about the business of providing world-class experiences to visitors from across the globe. Dave is active in his community, and was on the Board of Directors of the Cranbrook Chamber for seven years (including acting as President in 2014). In 2013, he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for leadership in tourism, and he’s a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.
He joined the BC Chamber Board in 2016, and serves on the Governance Committee.
Dave is based in Cranbrook and represents the East and West Kootenay region for the BC Chamber Board.
