B.C. gains Auditor General for Local Government
Delivering on a Chamber network idea, the B.C. government has established an Auditor General for Local Government (AGLG).
The concept for the Auditor General for Local Government in BC was developed by the BC Chamber of Commerce in a policy paper, and originally announced by the Premier at a BC Chamber Liberal Leadership event. The AGLG will conduct performance audits of local government services and provide recommendations about how to find efficiencies and improve the effectiveness of operations.
