Cabinet Minister Breakfast Series: Hon. Scott Fraser

Minister Scott Fraser to speak about the forthcoming legislation on the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

The BC Chamber of Commerce invites you to join us for our Cabinet Minister Breakfast Series with the Honourable Scott Fraser, Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation.

Scott Fraser is the MLA for Mid Island-Pacific Rim and British Columbia’s Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation. Prior to his election in 2017, Scott was the MLA for Alberni-Qualicum in 2005 and for Alberni-Pacific Rim in 2009 and 2013.

From 2005 to 2017, Scott served as the Official Opposition spokesperson for Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation. He also served as caucus deputy whip.

From 1996 to 1999 Scott served as the mayor of the District of Tofino and was involved in the creation of the first UNESCO World Biosphere designation in British Columbia.

Scott was born in Ottawa, Ontario and has been a resident of B.C. since 1980. His background includes small business, labour, harbour management, fisheries and shellfish aquaculture.

Scott lives with his wife in French Creek, B.C.
