Cabinet Ministers Breakfast with Min. Rich Coleman (Natural Gas Development)
The possibility of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export sector in B.C. represents the largest potential private sector investment in the province’s history.
The emerging LNG sector is an unprecedented opportunity for B.C., estimated to bring $1 trillion in economic activity and 100,000 jobs over 30 years and providing new markets for our upstream natural gas resources that are currently solely reliant on B.C. and North American markets.
B.C. has the opportunity to see all businesses, including small and medium sized enterprises, benefit from the projects.
Analysts agree that 2015 will be the critical year when final investment decisions will need to be made.
Minister Coleman shared insights on the progress the provincial government is making on the development of a brand new industry in B.C.
