Former Associate Deputy Minister for the Federal Department of Finance to Comment on Federal Budget Announcement
On the day immediately following the announcement of the 2009 Federal Budget, January 28, 2009, Don Drummond, Senior Vice President and Chief Economist for TD Bank Financial Group, and former Associate Deputy Minister for the Federal Department of Finance will be speaking at a BC Chamber of Commerce Executive Luncheon. Mr. Drummond will be providing his assessment of the budget, based on his 23 years of experience with the Department of Finance.
As Associate Deputy Minister Mr. Drummond was responsible for economic analysis, fiscal policy, tax policy, social policy, and federal-provincial relations. In particular, Mr. Drummond coordinated the planning of the annual federal budgets.
