Local Business Wins Province-Wide Recognition
Entire Automotive Services Ltd. Named BC’s Small Business of the Year

Prince Rupert, May 7, 2008 – The BC Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Prince Rupert’s own Entire Automotive Services Ltd. is 2008’s BC Chamber Small Business of the Year. From a stiff competition of truly excellent candidates, judged on business excellence, customer service, and employee satisfaction, Entire was a standout nominee.

“BC’s economy is built on small businesses like Entire,” says John Winter, President and CEO of the BC Chamber of Commerce. “To see the evidence of their success is an inspiring example. They are definitely setting a high bar to which other small businesses can aspire.”

That success is thanks in large part to owners Dwayne MacNeill and Bonnie Beal’s customer-centric approach to business. Entire’s motto is “Honesty, Integrity and Peace of Mind is the ENTIRE Solution,” and they are true to their word. Those three principles are the theme that unites their customers’ testimonials – and set Entire apart. MacNeill, however, attributes Entire’s success to the community.

“When we first started out [in 2004], there was a lot of hesitancy on our part,” he says. “We weren’t sure whether this was a venture that would succeed. We’re lucky enough to live in a small community where we have a network of local support. Our success is completely due to our customers, family and friends – they’re the ones who have pushed us, and continue to push us, to succeed the way we have.”

MacNeill says local response to Entire’s receipt of the award has been outstanding, and the news has spread quickly in the small community.

“We were pretty ecstatic,” he says. “Not only because it’s such an honour to have our work recognized, but because you don’t expect awards like this in smaller communities like Prince Rupert. Typically you’d think of businesses in bigger cities in the province receiving this award. We’re pretty proud to have brought some recognition to Prince Rupert as well.”

MacNeill and Beal will travel to Whistler at the end of May to accept their award at the BC Chamber of Commerce 56th Annual General Meeting and Conference.
