The BC Chamber of Commerce and chambers of commerce and boards of trade across the province are celebrating B.C. Chamber of Commerce Week, February 13 to 17, 2023.

“The BC Chamber of Commerce represents 100 member chambers of commerce and boards of trade, and 36,000 businesses of every size and from every sector and region of the province,” says Fiona Famulak, President and CEO, BC Chamber of Commerce. “Together, we are an established and powerful voice that advocates for an inclusive, competitive business environment in which B.C. businesses can prosper, families thrive and communities flourish.”

Famulak notes that advocacy is just one of the many ways that chambers of commerce and boards of trade support businesses.

“Whether it’s advocating to local, provincial or federal governments for changes to public policy, developing innovative programs and initiatives to support business, or leading charitable works that contribute to social well-being, local chambers of commerce and boards of trade are the trusted “boots on the ground” that understand the unique needs of their communities and deliver tailor-made solutions,” Famulak continues. “They are convenors, collaborators and catalysts for positive change and are integral to creating sustainable, healthy communities”.

The BC Chamber of Commerce appreciates the Government of British Columbia has officially proclaimed February 13 to 17, 2023 as B.C. Chamber of Commerce Week.
